I had bought some scarves last year on clearance sale for $1 each. I used this one as my project inspiration. I took it to the fabric store and bought 3" strips of coordinating polar fleece. I cut flowers using the new Fun Flowers die (available in the new Occasions Mini starting January 4th) and added them to 70 cent stretchy gloves with a button. Quick, cute, & inexpensive - what more can you ask for?

I was so pleased with how the project turned out that I made several pairs!
My lucky club ladies are going to make these at our January club meeting too!

Simply Adorned Class

Christmas Gift Class

Projects from the Retreat

I attended a special retreat organized by Jackie Bolhuis (almost two weeks ago now - where does the time go?). We each brought supplies for a gift project we would give to a friend (not a card). The projects were amazing so I just had to share!

We made a decorative tile, a display board, a covered journal, a framed Christmas sampler, two decorative framed art projects, an etched glass votive holder, a photo cube, a wine bag complete with covered wine bottle and coordinating tag, and a decorative Christmas wall hanging (not pictured because I couldn't fit it into the picture and still get good detail on all projects). Watch for some of these projects to appear in upcoming classes.

The weekend was amazing - great projects, amazing food, wonderful company, and lots of great information from seasoned demonstrators. I was honored to be included and hope to attend every year!!!

Our Christmas Card Photos

I'm so excited to share our Christmas card photos. We had my friend Michelle Evans come over Sunday afternoon and take a series of family photos. She picked the best of each pose shared them with me today. These are my favorites:


I think the one with the pets will be the one we have printed for cards, but we may end up with a photo gallery on the wall with the rest of them - they turned out amazing!!!
The last one is of our son Aaron horsing around. He is in his senior year at Grand Valley for secondary education. We are so proud of him!

I have some exciting news for you all today! Stampin' Up is offering a contest for us demos to see if we can hit a certain number of bookings as a group. The grand prize drawing is for a $100 gift certificate--but the even cooler part is that if we participate and the group hits the goal--the demonstrators ALL WIN a free stamp set from the Spring Mini! That's so cool!

The only catch is--we have ONE DAY to hit this goal--Tuesday, October 12th.

You can also schedule any time now and March. We're having a HUGE HOLIDAY MINI BUNDLE BLOWOUT starting October 19th, in which selections of Holiday Mini merchandise that coordinate with each other will be offered together at a discount! This special runs through December 16th, so it's a great time to have a party and capitalize on everyone's need to get Christmas cards and gifts made and in the mail. October Girls Night Out

Starter Kit Samples

I am excited to share the cards we created at our group meeting last Sunday.
My friend Susan Auyer challenged all in attendance to create at least one card using only contents of the Starter Kit.
I was amazed at the variety and number of cards that were created in a 30 minute period.
We also discussed how most of these cards could easily be changed by choosing another image from the Fun & Fast Notes set. It is so very versatile!!!
