Amazing Inspiration

I'm attending our niece's bridal shower this afternoon. I found these cute bags for $1 at Walmart at Easter. I used some retired paper and ribbon to create a coordinating card. It's amazing where you find inspiration. (Note: The color match is much better in person - my camera doesn't do well with greens.)

Here is a close-up of the simple, but lovely card.

School Demands

I'm so sorry not to have posted in a few days. As most of you know, I'm a Kindergarten teacher and things are busy at school with the end of the year. I only have 11 days left with kids after today (all day walking field trip with 47 kids today and the school carnival tonight). I will be able to post more after I'm finished with school responsibilities for the year. I'll try to post some inspiration for you over the weekend.

Baby Wipe Stripe Technique

Over the next couple of days, I'll be posing samples of the Baby Wipe Stripe technique. The instructions below apply to each of these cards.

Baby Wipe Stripe
Fold a baby wipe (works great around credit card) and add drops of reinker to the edge of the fold line. If you want a multicolored background, continue to add more colors.

Hint: For smaller stripes, add a small dot of reinker. For wider stripes, add longer stripes of reinker.
Line the inked fold up with the edge of the glossy cardstock. Wipe the inked baby wipe over the glossy cardstock to create striped background. Add more color, linking up the inked wipe with the existing stripes to intensify and even out the colors.
Stamp focal image directly over background.
Complete card or project as desired.

Stamps: Inspired by Nature (W111656), Sincere Salutations (W115068)
Paper: Marina Mist (119682), Basic Black (121045), Glossy White (102599)
Ink: Basic Black Pad (101179), Marina Mist Ink Refill (119787), Pumpkin Pie Ink Refill (105229), Old Olive Ink Refill (100531), Tangerine Tango Ink Refill (111841)
Other: Baby Wipe & Stiff Plastic, Pumpkin Pie 1/4" Grosgrain (109030), Horizontal Slot Punch (retired), Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware (111325)
