Starter Kit Samples

I am excited to share the cards we created at our group meeting last Sunday.
My friend Susan Auyer challenged all in attendance to create at least one card using only contents of the Starter Kit.
I was amazed at the variety and number of cards that were created in a 30 minute period.
We also discussed how most of these cards could easily be changed by choosing another image from the Fun & Fast Notes set. It is so very versatile!!!

Club Project for September

These are the two cards we made this month at club. I may have an opening in the alternate month club after we meet in October. It is a small $25 purchase commitment every other month to receive all of the benefits listed below.

The benefits of club are great:
  • earning hostess benefits
  • making two great cards or projects each time we meet
  • learning new techniques
  • stamping inspiration on a regular basis
  • building friendships
  • more
Please let me know if you would like to join a club.

Our Christmas Card Design

I designed our personal Christmas cards this week. I worked on the focal point at the campgrounds over the weekend and have that part done for 175 cards. I'm waiting for the cardstock and ribbon to arrive before I can finish them.
The card below was my first design, but there were a lot more steps to this design so I decided to wait until next summer to do them. It is my personal goal to have our Christmas cards done before I go back to school each year (or shortly after). I find it easier to get them done when I'm not teaching. Note the photo from about 3 years ago - look at that awful hairstyle!
My friend Susan Auyer designed the version below which I really like much better. It will be easier too because I won't have to punch through all of the layers like my design. I will be CASing her design for next year's card.

Holiday Mini Swap

I participated in a great swap focusing on products from the new Holiday Mini that started last week. The following are three of those swaps. They all use Peaceful Season (Level 2 Hostess), Deck the Halls designer paper, and glass glitter. However, they all look so different!

Holiday Mini Swap Favorites

I was excited to participate in a great swap organized by my friend Joey Pogorel. I was even more excited when I came home from the campgrounds this morning and found the envelope in my mailbox. We had to use products featured in the new Holiday Mini catalog.

This card was designed by Maxine and features the new Spider Web embossing folder. I love this embossing folder used on a black napkin. I can promise you that every one of my students will be using spider web napkins at the Halloween party at school.

designed by Louann Fisher

It uses the Day of Gratitude set and has beautiful popped up layers along with one of our new pearls in the center. It has convinced me that I need to buy this set.
