It has been the craziest summer of my life. Since my last post (while at convention - so it had to be a month ago), I've made a trip to Tennessee to take my Grandmother to visit my Uncle, prepared a memorial service for my husband's sister who died last Saturday, and helped choose a new Kindergarten teacher for our building - Welcome to the West Ward team Katie Martin!!!
Today I'm on the way out the door to a bridal shower for my niece - a happy family event compared to the one we had yesterday. I found these adorable bags at Walmart for less than a dollar and the colors reminded me of Stampin' Up! colors so I had to buy them.
Here is a close-up of the card. I googled a sentiment for bridal showers and printed it in MDS. Then added punched butterflies in Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, and Pumpkin Pie. I also used the Chevron and Dotted embossing folders along with Rich Razzleberry cardstock and Dotted ribbon (retired, but it worked perfectly with the theme of the card so I used it anyway). I even added punched butterflies to the envelope and topped them all off with a basic jewel.
I loved the design and it was all inspired by the bag I found at Walmart . Can't wait to make cards to go with the chevron and flower bags I got there too. I've got to run - the shower is in just over an hour and I have to drive an hour to get there. I hope to be back to finish posting Convention photos later.
