TIRED

I'm so sorry, but I'm too tired to post photos tonight. I will post more at the airport or once I get home tomorrow. It has been an amazing trip!

More Convention Excitement

Well, I'm finally getting around to giving the details about the photos from yesterday. This photo is from me walking across the stage for $20K in sales. It is so exciting to be recognized for my accomplishments.

At lunch we enjoyed a fondue from a beautiful chocolate fountain. Stampin' Up! really thinks about all the details that make an event special.

This was my plate of treats. Doesn't it look decadent!!!
We had one of the Stampin' Up! staff members take this group photo in front to the convention center. I think it is my favorite photo of the whole trip.

We had dinner at the Olive Garden with a large group of demonstrators. It was an incredible night of fun, conversation, and idea sharing.

And this dessert was to die for!!!

Here was my favorite swap of the day. This lovely card was created by Patty Bennett.
Tonight I'm starting with breaking news - Stampin' Up is offering the best hostess incentive I've ever seen for the next few weeks. They will be giving us all the details tomorrow. I will be calling everyone I know next week so plan on hearing from me and start thinking about the date for your workshop.

Check out this adorable Build-a-Bear card complete with miniature crayons - my favorite swap of the day! I think this will end up being my birthday gift for my students this year - much quicker and easier than the bags. The creator was Kimberly Johnson. It is amazing how many great ideas I get when I go to a Stampin' Up event!

Today was Nancy's husband Charlie's birthday. We helped him celebrate with dinner and dessert at Red Rock Brewery.

I had to take a photo of my dinner (of course) - bbq chicken pizza. I ended up eating the whole thing. After dinner, Liz and I had to share a root beer float - yum, yum!

Here is a picture of me by one of the pillars outside of the convention hall just before awards night. It was incredible - so many of my wonderful friends won awards tonight. I have set my goal to be one of those people honored for achieving the incentive trip, recruiting, and high sales next year.

Check-In Day Adventures

Our day started at the home office for a tour. The Legacy Room was the highlight for me. Here is our entire group by the "rock" at the entrance.

When we went to the Awards Booth, Missy got the biggest award. Look at the bag in her hands, that's a Founder's Circle bag. That means she is one of the top 100 demonstrators in the US! You go girl!!!

We went back to Jason's Deli again. I decided to go light with the salad bar and cup of vegetarian vegetable soup. I still ended up stuffed.

We ended up changing for the flower power party in the parking garage. Here is a picture of the cute flowers I made for our flip flops.

And here is the group all flowered up!

We were lucky enough to run into Shelli and Sterling (both in costume) and got our picture taken with them.
And here is my favorite swap of the day. Missy participated in a fabric swap and she got this adorable alligator puppet. The talented Candice Anderson was the creative genius behind this little guy.

Super Cool Momento Mall Items

Look at the extra cute items I was able to buy at the Momento Mall today!

A beautiful computer bag:
A stamp about sharing what I love (great for hostess thank you notes):
An apron that has the same image and saying as the stamp:
A fun reusable grocery sack:
And another reusable grocery sack:Convention is such a wonderful treat for demonstrators. I would love to talk to you about the opportunity. Maybe you can come to Convention with me next year!

Roommate Gifts

I posted recently that I was working on swaps and roommate gifts for Convention. Well, I didn't want to post pictures too soon and ruin the surprise for the girls. When they arrived last night, each was greeted with this basket (contents were proudly displayed inside the basket). I started with a plastic basket to keep our bathroom things organized and added several small gift items including: a convention bag tag, a cell phone tag, a water bottle tag, a mesh body sponge, Mary Kay hand lotion, a pandora style bracelet, big shot daisy flowers for our flip flops, and assorted candy. They loved the gifts!!!

We are going down to breakfast now and then heading to Riverton (the corporate office) for a tour and photo opportunities.

Today is a really busy day! We start with the tour, baggage pickup, momento mall, looking at boards and boards of samples, informational classes this afternoon, a flower power party, and finally a stamp camp that ends at 10:00.

In Salt Lake City

I know I haven't posted in several days. I took an intensive grad school class last week which kept me busy until late at night every night last week doing homework. I spent the weekend trying to catch things up at home and getting ready for this trip.

I am now in Salt Lake City and I will more than make up for the lack of post recently!!!

Linda and I went to Jason's Deli (this amazing restaurant that has a little bit of everything on the menu) for a late lunch after getting our luggage, renting a car, and checking into the hotel. This is the Plain Jane Baked Potato - look at the size of it!!! Here is the before picture.

Here is the after - can you believe I at the whole thing? I was starving because I hadn't had anything since breakfast at 8:00 Chicago time and this as 4:00 SLC time (9 hours later).

And here is the after of my belly!

Here is the healthy choice Linda made:

Back Home Again

I'm finally home (and at a good internet connection) from our two week camping trip. I've missed being able to post on a regular basis. I came home Wednesday to tutor and hold a stamp class featuring new products and stamp sets from the brand new Idea Book and Catalog. Here is a photo of the cards we made.

I've also been working on swaps and roommate gifts for Stampin' Up! Convention. I can't post a photo until after I've given the gifts away - I don't want to ruin the surprise for the recipients. I will post from Salt Lake City in just over a week. You will want to stop back to see how cool those gifts turned out!!!

Now I'm going to work on finding the top of my desk and putting all the stamping supplies away in my very, very messy stamp studio.
